Safe Kids are Happy Kids!

It is a well-known fact that Safety Seats protect infants and children from serious injuries and/or death.

According to Maryland Kids in Safety Seats (KISS):
1. Everyone should buckle up.
2. Rear-facing car seats should never be used in the front seat with an active air bag.
3. Children 12 years and younger should be properly restrained in a back seat.

Unfortunately, the Bowie Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. no longer is able to offer these services.

If you need your child safety seat checked or installed, please contact either of the following:
  • University of Maryland College Park Police Department (301) 405-7130
  • Greenbelt Police Department (301) 474-7200
